Kindergarten “La Pineda” – 2008

Adjacent to the existing childcare school, the plot occupies the southeastern boundary of Torrerroja Park in Viladecans in an urban area that is a residential building. The plot as part of the park suggests us the possibility of colonize it, through an intervention that preserves the inherent values and maintains the status of an urban void of the park. We imagine the children in the park, under a porch, isolated from the outside using a concrete blind walls that embrace and protect and let the outside space flow through the building by walking from the access to the higher level of the park. The exterior of concrete embedded in the artificial nature of the park, hide a pristine white interior waiting for the colors of the children with the toys and drawings like the real protagonists of the building.
